The young boy was crying, his head buried deep into his hands, his tears flooding through the cracks in his fingers. He was just crying, and crying, and crying. This boy was called Dominic James Howard, a young, budding drummer.
Matthew Bellamy was standing in a corner, with many boys crowding around him, asking him for his famous father's autograph. Matthew finally shooed them away and walked away, or well, ran.

Matthew and Dominic were celebrating a beautiful Valentine's day together. Dominic had cooked a beautiful dinner and they ate in Teignmouth, in their living room, by candlelight.
"My Darling." Dominic said, stroking Matthew's cheek tenderly. He gave a box to Matthew.
"It is but a token of my burning and fiery love for you…"
Matthew opened the box. Inside was a beautiful, black rose. He gazed at it in wonder and awe, then he gazed at Dominic magically. "It's lovely," Matthew said. "Come here and let me kiss you."

It had been a long day, the rehearsals had droned on and on. Matthew lay around the sets bored stiff, and a bit drunk. He'd phoned again and again for Dominic, but he was taking a long time. He was wondering what was happening when the horn from Dominic's Mercedes blasted from outside. Matthew walked outside, continuing to wonder about Dominic's lateness. Then he saw him. Dominic Howard stood in a semi-formal suit watching Matthew. Matthew's eyes widened because he had never seen how beautiful this man was.
